Motifs
of grapes and vine were found in this area on the
old tomb stones called «stećak», as well as in
the documents from the Middle Ages.
With
its mild climate, fertile ground, balanced rainy
and sunny days throughout the year, Brotnjo is an
ideal area for cultivating vine , tobacco, fruit,
vegetables...
The
main agricultural product today is wine – Žilavka
(white wine) and Blatina (red wine). These wines
can be found today on the tables all over the
world.
