At
numerous sites in Brotnjo, there are many
medieval tombstones. They are richly
decorated and some of them have certain
inscriptions. |

Under
these tombstones were buried our ancestors,
some of these sites are still used as
graveyards. These necropoles
are very attractive
to the tourists.

Unfortunately,
many of them were destroyed in the past
being used as building material.

| However,
there are still enough
to show that this area was densely
populated even in the Middle Ages. |
