The  building of the town sports hall  made Čitluk attractive to many entertainers  as well as the  artists: painters, sculptors, musicians, writers etc.

Thanks to the enthusiasm of the cultural workers our town  often becomes the centre of entertainment. So, Matica hrvatska (a cultural association) organizes exhibitions, meetings with writers and poets etc.

Čitluk is also a publishing center. Monthly newspapers «Glas mira» and»Cvitak» are published in Medjugorje, and  some books were also published in Čitluk and Medjugorje. The radio station «Mir – Medjugorje» works here successfully.
